Lot#: 403

DESCRIPTION: APW – Hamilton, Grade 946 Extra, rare marking, 23J, 18S, sterling silver OF recase with very attractive multicolor rear scene of flowers in vase, "A.N. Anderson, Extra" signed white enamel DS dial, gold hands, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, ornate nickel damascene, s#549618. A rare and desirable variant of this top grade Hamilton watch, the "A.N. Anderson, Extra" signed dial is correct to this watch and the Hamilton factory ledger shows this particular serial number as having been sold on May 27th, 1913 to A.N. Anderson. We believe the gold hands are likely correct and original to this watch as we have seen these among other examples of the 946 Extra and 947 Extra. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO...
